MISTER WAYNE’S CURRICULUM
The 1,500 hours of barber training required to apply for a certificate of registration as a master barber shall be apportioned as follows:
General Hours
  • Sterilization, sanitation and bacteriology
  • History and fundamentals of the barber profession
240 HOURS
Physical
  • Proper shampooing and draping techniques
  • Regimens for hair and scalp care
240 HOURS
Chemical
  • Permanent waving
  • Hair relaxing
  • Hair coloring, bleaching and toning
360 HOURS

CREDIT FOR PREVIOUS TRAINING

Mister Wayne's School of Unisex Hair Design will give credit to a student for hours earned in another accredited school, but these hours must come under the regulation of the Tennessee Board of Barber Examiners. Any questionable case will be referred to the board for approval. Requests for credit on previously earned hours must be made at the time of enrollment. Online diplomas are not accepted.

DISCLOSURE OF TRANSFERABILITY OF CREDITS

In accordance with Tennessee Code Annotated § 49-7-144(b)(2), credits earned at Mister Wayne’s School of Unisex Hair Design may not transfer to another educational institution. Credits earned at another educational institution may not be accepted by Mister Wayne’s School of Unisex Hair Design. You should obtain confirmation that Mister Wayne’s School of Unisex Hair Design will accept any credits you have earned at another educational institution before you execute an enrollment contract or agreement. You should also contact any educational institutions to which you may want to transfer credits earned at Mister Wayne’s School of Unisex Hair Design to determine if such institutions will accept credits earned at Mister Wayne’s School of Unisex Hair Design prior to executing an enrollment contract or agreement. The ability to transfer credits from Mister Wayne’s School of Unisex Hair Design to another educational institution may be very limited. Your credits may not transfer, and you may have to repeat courses previously taken at Mister Wayne’s School of Unisex Hair Design if you enroll in another educational institution. You should never assume that credits will transfer to or from any educational institution. It is highly recommended and you are advised to make certain that you know the transfer of credit policy of Mister Wayne’s School of Unisex Hair Design and of any other educational institutions to which you may in the future want to transfer the credits earned at Mister Wayne’s School of Unisex Hair Design before you execute an enrollment contract or agreement.
